About Us

ADOK TIMO is a micro finance institution that serves rural and peri-urban communities in western region of Kenya particularly poor women.It was registered on 6th October 2005 as a Limited company and the operations started on 6th January 2006.As at December 31st we had the head office and one branch office.

The process to convert ADOK TIMO, which was operating as a project within caritas development wing of the Catholic Archdiocese of Kisumu since early 1990s, into a limited company had since been completed. It started to transform in early 2005 and was registered as an independent limited company with separate and independent Board of Directors.

Adok Timo is a member of Association of Microfinance Institutions - Kenya(AMFI) being the umbrella body for registered micro finance practitioneers.Our operations are governed by the Microfinance Act 2006 and Central Bank Of Kenya as the supervisory authority.

Our mission
To increase household incomes, enhance lives and livelihoods of poor communities in Kenya through provision of financial and other related services.

Our vision
To bring financial services within walking distances in the rural areas and to demonstrate that lending and provision of financial services to the poor are both commercially viable and important aspects of poverty reduction and wealth creation.
